The Easiest and Safest Way to Heal Trauma

In 2010, the medication I had taken for many years stopped working and I ended up in hospital at rock bottom. It was a traumatic experience that was only amplified by the loss of my job and domestic violence in my marriage. I felt lost, disconnected from myself and from the world around me. I struggled through various treatments including talk therapy and EMDR for three long years, realizing the limitations of the largely favored therapies embedded in the traditional Western medical model of health. Only with neurofeedback was I able to heal from the trauma. Not only did I heal, but my recovery was speedy and painless. Integrating various contemplative practices and expressive tools in my daily life, I regained trust in myself, emotional and financial independence, resilience, and the desire to live my best life.

Addictions or Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms

In my twenties, alcohol and tobacco were the crutches I would rely on to tame my mood swings and my anxious mind. The old demons have reappeared at various times of my life when I felt I could not cope with a stressful situation or had a difficult interaction with someone. It seemed to take a lot of will power and efforts to stand on my own. Society and even friends would encourage the behavior. When people do not turn to drinking, vaping, or smoking, they might overeat, work too much, or binge on TV shows.  How do we stop consuming and make it to the happy hour of our days without mixing a cocktail?

Your Sea Sun Zen Sessions

Coaching is the framework that allows us to explore where you are and where you would like to be. It is about finding your wellness vision by listening to your heart and connecting with your soul. During Sea Sun Zen sessions, you design and you implement weekly goals towards your vision based on your values, your strengths, your interests, and your resources. Ideally, you would engage in coaching for at least three months. 

Sea Sun Zen sessions may integrate contemplative practices, expressive or creative arts, and experiential modalities to support you and to let healing occur in the experience itself. Through immersive experiences, we are able to connect with hard to reach feelings and learn healthy coping skills in order to have new and more adequate responses to challenging situations.
